Get a good look before it’s bombed
Check out these amazing photos of a culture, landscape, and people that do not fit with the xenophobic messages coming from our highest levels of leadership.
You can get a pretty good look at a T-Bone…
What has been forgotten
Atrios ponders the same thing that I often think about upon hearing the claim that there have been no terror attacks here in the U.S. since September 11, 2001.
Beginning just one week after 9/11 a biological attack on our homeland targeted several media offices and two U.S. Senators. Five people were killed and nearly two dozen were infected, when anthrax was sent through the U.S. postal service. The FBI estimates that the total damage, including clean-up, costs could exceed $1 billion. The attack remains unsolved, and apparently largely forgotten.
I wonder if the same sentiment of “safe since 9/11″ would be valid if the attack would have been more spectacular—like with an explosion that killed five and injured 22, including U.S. Senators.
Lindsay Lohan…Why?
Well, unless you’re living under a rock, you probably heard that Lindsay Lohan has not only been busted for another DUI, but now she has taken to Tony Montana’s product of choice, and was also arrested for cocaine possession.
My question is…how did this happen? Was it the attempts to shed her more wholesome teen image? Hanging out with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie? Why did she go from sweet to beat? Her fall from grace may be one of the biggest celebrity “falls” in recent memory.
Hey, I’ll admit, for quite a while…I thought Lindsay Lohan was IT. She was that one celebrity that one fantasizes about more than any other. A true gem. She was a radiant, curvacious redhead. Simply put, she was 5-foot-7, 145 pounds of sexy. Then, she appeared one day…hair bleach blonde and looking sickly thin. Her look got worse from there. She starting appearing very emaciated (like most of the overly-hyped Hollywood starlets), and did nothing but party-party-party.
I guess Rick James was right…”cocaine’s a helluva drug.” It made Lindsay go from this…

To this…
Sad, sad story…but she made her own bed, and she needs to sleep in it.
Today is the Anniversary of D-Day
Imagine if D-Day occurred today…how would the media report it? I found this to be an interesting take on it.

Watch Out, I’m Invading Your TV!
Well, that is if you watch public television and live in the Shenandoah Valley region.
I’m going to be a guest on Virginia Viewpoints, which is hosted by Chris Graham of The New Dominion. The show will air on WVPT on Tuesday, June 12th, at 7:30 and 10:30 pm. I’m excited as all hell, to be honest…it’s not every day that I get asked to be on a TV show.
Here is a page that has the different channels you can catch WVPT on. I’m keeping the topic a secret, but nevertheless, it should be an interesting program.
